LEARNING THE ART OF ACTIVE LISTENING

Active Listening Training

With Tel-Aide Montréal, you will learn the art of listening actively to those who need to talk. You will see how your presence and listening can make all the difference.

24 hours of training

In-class training, practical sessions, and exercises.

20 hours of accompanied listening

Accompanied listening sessions and solo listening shifts help practise and prepare the new listener. 

Continuing Education

Sharing meetings and support for volunteers.

Deposit and Registration for Training

Make a deposit of $170 at the official registration for the training ($150 refundable, $20 non-refundable for the manual).

Payment plans available. It is important for us to be inclusive and accessible to everyone, so please feel free to communicate your needs to the recruitment team.

What skills are required to become a volunteer at Tel-Aide Montréal?

That said, Tel-Aide is flexible and allows volunteers the freedom to manage their schedules, with the opportunity to do their listening remotely, creating a commitment that suits everyone.

The calls received by Tel-Aide Montréal are routed through a digital platform accessible via computer, making TAM an excellent choice for online volunteering.
