The 2025 Janette Bertrand Wellness Award Presented to Marjolaine St-Jules for Her Outstanding Commitment to Inclusion
PRESS RELEASE – November 14, 2025 — Tel-Aide Montréal is proud to present the 2025 Janette Bertrand Wellness Award to Marjolaine St-Jules, social worker and co-founder of non-profit Rêvanous. This award recognizes her exceptional contribution to the inclusion of people living with an intellectual disability or autism spectrum disorder, as well as her dedication to promoting a more compassionate and inclusive world through volunteer work. The award ceremony took place yesterday at the Mount Stephen, during Tel-Aide Montréal’s benefit evening, which brought together over 200 people around a shared cause: mental well-being.
A dedicated advocate for over 23 years
For more than 23 years, Marjolaine St-Jules has devoted her time, heart, and expertise to advancing inclusion. Visionary and persevering, she played a key role in creating Habitations Rêvanous, a housing project designed to help people with mild intellectual disabilities or autism live more independently and fully. Inspired by her daughter’s journey, she continues her work with deeply personal conviction: to build a world where everyone can live at their own pace, with respect and dignity.
Alongside Marie-Claude Barrette, jury president, and Julie Bélanger, spokesperson for Tel-Aide Montréal, Marjolaine St-Jules received her award from Janette Bertrand, former spokesperson for Tel-Aide Montréal for 25 years and the first award recipient in 2024.
The award — a personalized trophy and a $2,500 grant — was presented by Janette Bertrand in the presence of Marie-Claude Barrette and Julie Bélanger.
An award for those who transform their communities
Created in 2024, the Janette Bertrand Wellness Award honors volunteers whose exceptional dedication has a lasting impact on their communities. Inspired by the values of Tel-Aide Montréal and Janette Bertrand’s legacy — commitment, empathy, initiative, and collective well-being — the award highlights those who, often behind the scenes, make the world better, one kind gesture at a time.
