Volunteering: The Heart of Tel-Aide Montréal
What if your simple presence could ease someone’s loneliness? That’s the commitment our volunteers make—one call at a time.
At Tel-Aide Montréal, active listening is built on a profoundly human gesture: choosing to volunteer.
Around 170 volunteers take the line, offering a caring, attentive, and non-judgmental presence. They truly listen. And they do it by choice—driven by generosity and a deep belief that every person who calls deserves to be met with respect.
But their contribution doesn’t stop there. Many are also involved in key committees that help bring our mission to life: training, mentorship, community life, interviews… Their commitment is at the very heart of how TAM operates.
As we mark National Volunteer Week, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU.
Thank you to those who give their time, energy, and heart. You turn solitude into connection, isolation into conversation, and silence into presence.
Because of you, Tel-Aide Montréal remains a warm, human refuge—day after day.
